Each section contains one long text. Texts are from books, journals, magazines and newspapers.

1. Section 1: a conversation between two people
2. Section 2: a monologue set in an everyday social context
3. Section 3: a conversation between up to four people set in an educational or training context
4. Section 4: a monologue on an academic subject

Levels and Scores
The IELTS is a multi-level exam where candidates receive a score ranging from 1 to 9. Half scores, such as 6.5, are also possible. Universities typically require an IELTS score of 6 or 7, with some institutions mandating minimum scores in each of the four sections: Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking.
